CDBG Street Improvements on Maple Street
The City of Los Alamitos plans to grind and overlay asphalt streets and repair damaged concrete as part of its ongoing pavement management program from Katella Avenue to Farquhar Avenue.
The scope of the project will include replacing the damaged curb & gutter and lifting the sidewalk to correct drainage. ADA curb ramps will also be modified to current codes as necessary for accessibility.
The work will include removal and replacement of concrete, asphalt grinding, asphalt paving, and striping
During the project, street parking will be restricted between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday when construction is being performed. Signs indicating “NO PARKING” will be posted 72 hours in advance of the parking restrictions. Residents within the construction site will receive additional notices prior to construction starting. The work will take approximately two months from commencement. The contractor will coordinate work for trash service to resume uninterrupted. Street sweeping will not be available once the asphalt has been demoed.
