Neighborhood Sign Assessment Survey
We want your feedback! The City of Los Alamitos is conducting a survey to gather public input regarding neighborhood signage and potential Apartment Row name change. As part of the early conceptualization process, the City of Los Alamitos is seeking to obtain public opinion about the general interest and specific sign characteristics of importance to Los Alamitos residents. Your responses will be used to inform subsequent steps and the further development of neighborhood signage, as feasible and desired. The City Council will have final approval authority of signage.
Residents of the Apartment Row neighborhood will have the chance to vote for their preferred option from a selected list assembled by the City Council in a previous meeting.
How to Participate:
Please complete the online survey, which is available until August 2, 2024 at 5:00 P.M. Your responses provided in this survey are anonymous. Therefore, your personal information, such as name, address, or contact information, is not required to participate in this survey. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact (562) 431-3538.

Phases
City Council Meeting
City Staff presented the survey results for the Apartment Row name change to the City Council at the November 18, 2024, meeting. After carefully reviewing the results, the City Council decided to rename the neighborhood to "Midtown." City Staff will now assess the desire and necessity to implement appropriate branding of the name change corresponding to Midtown.
